Welcome to the Early Learning Research Academy (ELRA), an early childhood development and research center at Rutgers University–Camden.

ELRA serves a population of 126 infants, toddlers and preschoolers each year in state-of-the-art classrooms. Its holistic model provides these children and their families with the early cognitive and socio-emotional development needed to eliminate the achievement gap for urban, minority youth. 

In addition, ELRA’s research unit collaborates with national experts from Rutgers and other universities to conduct applied research studies on childhood development and adds indispensable research to the national discussion on early childhood education.
