The Honorable Marjorie Margolies
President, Women’s Campaign International
The Hon. Marjorie Margolies is the President of Women’s Campaign International (WCI). Ms. Margolies was a television journalist for NBC and its owned and operated stations for many years, earning five Emmy Awards. Ms. Margolies became the first woman elected to Congress in Pennsylvania in her own right. In 1995, she led the US delegation to the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing before founding WCI in 1998. For the past 20 years, she has served as an adjunct faculty member and fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, her alma mater. She is the mother of a combined family of 11 children. With the refugee families she has been sponsoring over the years, her household has taken care of 25 children.
